Job Description

NICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift | Covington, LA Are you an experienced NICU nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in a leading facility in Covington, Louisiana? Join us for a night 4x12-hour schedule with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team dedicated to your success. Pay & Benefits Pay Rate:
$56.95/hr (additional differential pay may apply) Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Attend deliveries (vaginal and C-section) and assist with newborn transition Admit, discharge, and coordinate care for neonates in NICU and newborn nursery Manage IV placements, blood draws, ventilators, and central lines Administer medications via IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT, NGT, and topically Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, PICC, UAC, and UVC placements Support ultrasound, echocardiograms, EEGs, intubation, and oxygen therapy Educate and update parents on their baby's care and support breastfeeding
What You Need Required:
Current Louisiana RN license
BLS & NRP
certifications 3+ years NICU experience at level III or higher Proven skills in IV placement, ventilator management, blood administration, and neonatal procedures
Preferred:
Epic EMR experience Previous experience floating to broader neonatal units About the Assignment Join a dedicated team in a respected facility known for compassionate neonatal care. The unit handles complex neonatal cases, including delivery attendances, NICU admissions, and management of ventilated infants. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and support families through critical moments.
