1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and Epic proficiency, with day shifts and every other weekend coverage. Details NICU setting within a hospital environment Average daily census of 30 patients with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Every other weekend coverage required Floating may be required to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications required: BLS and NRP (both must be AHA-issued) Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years required for first-time travelers Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply with at least 3 years of NICU experience RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign you to an emergency response team, which could require you to remain on-site during or after an emergency event or serve as part of a relief team — candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply 8-week contract assignment
