Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including critical care, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and outpatient settings. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and NCQA. The Registered Nurse will utilize advanced EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks to document patient interactions accurately. Experience with specialized procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, ventilator management, and sterile processing is highly valued. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Administer medications and injections safely while adhering to aseptic techniques. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV insertion, catheter care, tube feeding, wound suturing, and ostomy care. Monitor patients' physiological status using physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation tools; respond promptly to acute pain or emergent conditions. Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment including ventilators, neonatal ventilators, and diagnostic imaging devices like sonography and mammography units. Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospital medicine, ICU/CCU/PICU units, post-acute care facilities, outpatient clinics, hospice & palliative medicine programs, and home & community care environments. Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics (neonatal to toddler), geriatrics (memory care & dementia), behavioral health patients, individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring adaptive equipment like Hoyer lifts. Participate in discharge planning, case management, health coaching, and patient education initiatives to promote optimal recovery and health maintenance. Maintain infection control standards and ensure sterile processing protocols are followed during procedures requiring aseptic technique. Experience Proven clinical experience in hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers; ICU experience preferred. Background in emergency room or urgent care environments with skills in triage and acute care management. Experience working with specialized populations including neonatal intensive care (NICU), pediatric units, long-term care facilities (nursing homes & assisted living), memory care units, hospice & palliative medicine programs. Familiarity with medical coding systems
ICD-9/ICD-10/CPT
coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation of patient records. Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols along with experience managing infectious diseases within healthcare settings. Additional experience in areas such as dermatology (dermal fillers), esthetic laser treatment or DME is advantageous but not required.
