Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities Patient Care:
Taking and recording vital signs: This includes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration. - Relaying information to MD.
Assisting with medical procedures:
This might involve assisting with examinations or other procedures.
Assessing patient condition:
Observing for changes and reporting any concerns to the physician.
Providing patient education:
Explaining treatments, self-care instructions, and infection precautions. Patient wound care Assisting patients in & out of clinic PRN Bringing patients to clinic room for their appointment
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate patient records: This includes medical histories, treatments, and progress notes, prescriptions, patient education. Entering data into electronic health records (EHRs): Ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. New patient paperwork, Sending/ receiving clearances. Proficient with patient pictures for before & after treatments Pre-op patients including but not limited to: Consent forms, Instructions, Collecting vital signs, Collecting lab work, reviewing and prescribing medications for MD.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborating with medical staff respectfully. Working with physicians, other nurses, and support staff to coordinate care. Communicating with patients and their families: Explaining procedures, answering questions, phone calls and providing emotional support.
Other Responsibilities:
Ordering and managing supplies: Ensuring the clinic has the necessary materials for patient care (i.e. garments, medications, supplies). Maintaining a clean and organized work environment: Ensuring safety and hygiene standards are met. Drawing lab work in office Transmitting prescriptions per MD guidance Assisting Nurse Practitioner with injectables (i.e. botox, fillers), taking pictures prior to treatments, topical numbing. Keeping clinic rooms fully stocked throughout the week. Other duties as assigned. Travel required to Metairie, West Bank, and Slidell locations. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associates or Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing Preferred Education or Experience Preferably experience in a clinic or hospital.
