Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by utilizing your Operating Room expertise in a collaborative and patient-focused healthcare environment. This opportunity is designed for Registered Nurses with a background in perioperative care who are motivated by excellence and wish to contribute to outstanding patient outcomes. The position is offered on a contract basis, ideal for nurses seeking to broaden their experience in surgical services.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Valid RN license in good standing Minimum one year of recent experience working as an RN in an Operating Room setting Proficiency in perioperative nursing practice, including scrub and circulating duties Ability to respond efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts, flexibility may be requested based on surgical schedules
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care throughout the surgical process, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols Accurately document patient information and surgical activities according to policy Provide support and advocacy to patients and families before, during, and after procedures Manage and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
