1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications, with Epic proficiency and comfort floating to pediatric PACU. Details Works in a high-volume PACU department spanning 2 floors with a total of 34 ORs, supporting all major surgical services Cares for pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery patients across both adult and pediatric populations 1st floor includes 6 ORs, 2 cysto suites, a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, and prep/recovery for CT/MRI with a high volume of pediatric patients 2nd floor includes 28 ORs servicing Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Pulmonary Lab cases Special procedures include regional anesthesia and ECT Equipment used includes Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein Epic EMR experience is required Patient ratio is 1:2 Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract Floating to pediatric PACU is required as needed Requirements Active LA or compact RN license currently in hand Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS PACU or Pre/Post Op experience is preferred Epic EMR experience required Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Provides pre- and post-operative nursing care to patients of all ages across multiple surgical specialties Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients in pre-op and Phase I and Phase II recovery settings In the event of a declared emergency, the unit manager may assign staff to an Emergency Team with an expectation to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team; candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply RTO requests must be discussed during the interview process Local candidates are not accepted; must live 65+ miles from the facility
