1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications with night shift availability and comfort floating to pediatric PACU. Details Fast-paced PACU department supporting all major surgical services across 34 ORs on 2 floors Unit provides pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care to both adult and pediatric populations First floor includes 6 ORs, 2 cystoscopy suites, a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room, and prep/recovery for CT/MRI — with high pediatric volume Second floor includes 28 ORs servicing Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Pulmonary Lab cases Special procedures include regional anesthesia and ECT Equipment used includes Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein Epic EMR — experience required Patient ratio: 1:2 Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45-07:15 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract Floating to pediatric PACU required as needed Requirements Active LA or compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all must be AHA-issued PACU or Pre/Post Op experience strongly preferred; Critical Care Post Op background is a plus Epic EMR experience required Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Candidate must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages across pre-op and Phase I and Phase II recovery settings In the event of an emergency, staff may be assigned to an Emergency Team and expected to remain on-site until the event passes or serve on the relief team — candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply Any requested time off must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process 13-week contract
