1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at an academic medical center in Shreveport, LA, with general OR and trauma experience preferred and evening shift hours. Details Academic medical center setting in Shreveport, LA Operating Room unit General OR and trauma cases Evening shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-11:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts) 1 weekend shift required every 6 weeks On-call possible; shift may vary and could include weekend call (details discussed during interview) Holiday coverage required as needed 13-week contract Requirements Active LA or Compact RN license required BLS certification preferred; facility will provide BLS training if not currently held — must be AHA-issued Minimum 1 year of OR experience preferred; general OR and trauma background preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidate must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may designate travelers to an Emergency Team, which may require remaining at the facility until an emergency event passes or participating as part of a relief team; candidates uncomfortable with this expectation should not apply All requested time off must be discussed during the interview process Scrubs or dress code details not specified — confirm with recruiter
