Aug 20, 2026 Job Description Will provide first aid and nursing care to students and staff, including administering medications, performing ordered treatments, caring for illness, and documenting in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts laws and the policies and procedures of the Athol-Royalston Regional School District. Must have an understanding of child growth and development. Ability to facilitate positive student responses to normal development for students in a manner that contributes to their care, growth, and development. Promotes health and safety for all students in the school. Ability to think critically and react decisively in emergency situations. Intervenes with actual and potential health problems and provides case management services as appropriate. Demonstrated ability to be an effective communicator with students, staff members, and parents and able to maintain confidentiality. Actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. Complete a required state and local reporting regarding building based data, as required Provides training to staff regarding student care, as needed Creates and maintains Individualized Health Care Plans (IHCPs), relative to student documentation, and updates annually, or as needed
