1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Infusion Unit position requiring Chemo certification and at least 2 years of experience, with first-time travelers welcome to apply. Details Infusion unit in a hospital setting with 12 beds and an average daily census of 32 Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses spanning hematology/oncology, asthma/allergy, GI, rheumatology, MS, and other non-oncology conditions Patient ratio of 1:6 Specialized procedures include port accessing and IV placement Medication system:
Omnicell EMR:
Cerner and IntelliDose Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, with start times of either 8:00-16:30 or 9:00-17:30 Requirements Active MA RN license required Current BLS certification required
ONS/ONCC
Chemotherapy certification required ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate required OCN certification preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Port accessing and IV placement skills required Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Orientation consists of 3-4 shifts with a preceptor Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable All RTO/scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
