1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Hospice/Palliative Care position requiring prior hospice experience, HCHB EMR proficiency, and a MA RN license. Details Community-based hospice setting operating out of a hub/office location Geriatric patient population receiving end-of-life care Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day Minimum of 30 points required per week Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts) On-call responsibilities required — details to be discussed during interview Travel territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub/office HCHB (HomeCare HomeBase) EMR experience required iPad device provided for clinical use Requirements Active MA RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent hospice nursing experience required Proficiency with HCHB (HomeCare HomeBase) EMR required Ability to travel throughout a territory up to 60 miles from the hub/office Flexibility with territory coverage is expected Additional Information Provide end-of-life nursing care to geriatric hospice patients in a community-based setting Timely documentation and communication are essential responsibilities of this role Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate Scrubs in any color are required; jeans are not permitted Local candidates are accepted and eligible for the travel pay rate First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Any time off or scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
