The Clinical Practice Specialist (CPS) is a professional nurse, an expert practitioner in nursing and a member of the nursing leadership team who implements the mission and philosophy of Northeast Hospital Corporation. The CPS promotes safe care for patients by keeping patient safety as a focus of all unit operations and clinical practices. The principal role of this position is to ensure that clinical practice is consistent with standards and evidence-based policies and procedures. The CPS serves as a consultant, teacher and role model to all Nursing Staff and the novice workforce. The CPS contributes to the delivery of patient care through development and support of nursing staff, collaboration with patients and their families and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in Nursing is required, or currently enrolled in programCurrent license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of RegistrationBLS requiredACLS certification preferred or to be obtained within 6 monthsNational certification in specialty nursing is preferredNursing education and quality improvement experience preferredMember of relevant professional organizationCurrent knowledge of evidence-based practice including but not limited to, national standards and guidelines, principles and practice of safety science, regulatory requirements and current resources.

Participation in relevant professional development activitiesDemonstrates high degree of independence and decision-makingAbility to address clinical problems by analyzing, synthesizing, and integrating current research and best practice models.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills evidenced by the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively to promote teamwork among all care providers.

Ability to coordinate and provide interdisciplinary educational programs utilizing a wide variety of modalities, including computer programs, drills and simulations.

Pay Range:
$71,491.50 USD - $157,135.50 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
