Job Description

BaneCare Management is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Nurse Specialist to support our skilled nursing facilities across Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader with long-term care experience who enjoys mentoring teams, supporting regulatory readiness, and improving quality outcomes across multiple centers. This is a hands-on, impactful position, as you will step in for open leadership roles across the organization, including DON, ADON, SDC, IP and Unit Manager roles, as needed. The Regional Nurse Specialist will work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer and facility leadership teams to provide clinical oversight, survey support, education, and operational guidance throughout our post-acute and long-term care communities.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a clinical mentor and advisor to Directors of Nursing and facility leadership teams Assist with orientation, education, and ongoing mentoring of nursing leadership Support facilities during state and federal survey inspections Conduct mock surveys, clinical audits, and regulatory reviews Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and provide written recommendations and follow-up plans Assist with plans of correction and regulatory compliance initiatives Collaborate with Administrators and DONs to improve quality outcomes and resident care Investigate clinical concerns and assist with risk management follow-up and education Maintain strong communication with leadership teams during onsite visits and clinical reviews Travel to assigned facilities as needed
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Minimum 2 years of Director of Nursing experience preferred, or equivalent regional clinical leadership experience Strong background in Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills Strong organizational and documentation abilities Experience with PCC preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email Reliable transportation and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
