Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Discover a rewarding opportunity as a contract nurse supporting a student who is wheelchair and ventilator dependent in a school environment near Brockton, MA. This is a 1:1 PRN nursing position, offering an impactful way to use your specialized skills in a dynamic and supportive setting. You'll ensure the well-being and safety of a complex-needs student while working alongside dedicated education professionals.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid RN license required Previous experience with complex medical needs, especially ventilator-dependent care School nursing experience is highly valued Current CPR and BLS certifications Comfort with wheelchair transfers and adaptive equipment Strong collaboration and communication abilities Compassionate, patient-centered mindset
Responsibilities:
Provide direct, one-on-one care for a student throughout the school day Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed Oversee ventilator use, respond promptly to alarms and emergencies Assist with mobility and personal care tasks, including safe transfers Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Maintain accurate documentation of all care and interventions Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols
