The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, utilizing advanced nursing skills and critical thinking to support recovery and promote health across diverse patient populations. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Athenahealth is preferred, along with a strong background in acute care settings including hospital medicine, ICU, and emergency medicine. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes quality care, patient safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Monitor patients' conditions using advanced equipment such as ventilators, IV infusion devices, and cardiac monitors. Perform diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, and imaging procedures like sonography or mammography when applicable. Manage airway care, tube feeding, ostomy care, wound suturing, and other specialized nursing interventions. Document patient information accurately within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans, coordinate post-acute care, and ensure continuity of care. Provide education on health coaching, medication management, pain control—including acute pain management—and disease processes such as infectious diseases or dementia care. Assist in triage assessments for emergency or urgent care situations; respond effectively to trauma cases in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Maintain infection control standards and ensure compliance with NCQA standards for quality assurance.
