Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool Location:
Hyannis, MA Contract Duration:
13 Weeks Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while floating across various Med/Surg and specialty units based on patient care needs. The ideal candidate will have strong telemetry experience, acute care nursing skills, and the ability to adapt to multiple clinical environments. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate patient records Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Administer medications and monitor patient responses Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Document physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning information Serve as a charge nurse when assigned Act as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and clinical education Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing documentation systems Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care assessments Adhere to infection control, safety, and blood/body fluid exposure policies Maintain patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards Participate in ongoing professional development and nursing committee activities Float between Medical/Surgical and specialty units as assigned Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Successful completion of Pharmacology Exam prior to start Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam prior to start Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care facility within the last 2 years Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience managing cardiac patients Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Telemetry experience Oncology, Dialysis, Orthopedic, Neurology, or Cardiac specialty experience Required Skills Medical/Surgical Nursing Telemetry Monitoring Cardiac Patient Care Arrhythmia Recognition Medication Administration Patient Assessment Care Planning Clinical Documentation Charge Nurse Responsibilities Patient & Family Education Interdisciplinary Collaboration Discharge Planning Acute Care Nursing Float Pool Experience For more details reach at mdeshpande@navitashealth.com
