Oncology Location:
Hyannis, MA Contract Duration:
13 Weeks Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient treatment plans. The RN will administer medications, educate patients and families, coordinate care, and support oncology patients through both curative and palliative treatment modalities. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate patient records Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Administer medications and monitor patient responses Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Document physical, psychological, social, and discharge planning information Educate and counsel oncology patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs Support patients undergoing curative and palliative oncology treatments Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff Demonstrate proficiency in computerized nursing documentation systems Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care assessment activities Attend staff meetings, educational programs, and nursing committee activities Adhere to infection control, safety, and blood/body fluid exposure policies Maintain patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Successful completion of Pharmacology Examination Demonstrated experience in oncology patient education and counseling Ability to work with terminally ill patients and their families Strong communication skills in English Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required Skills Oncology Nursing Patient Assessment & Care Planning Medication Administration Oncology Patient Education Palliative Care Support End-of-Life Care Clinical Documentation Nursing Informatics Care Coordination Patient & Family Counseling Charge Nurse Responsibilities Quality Improvement Participation For more details reach at mdeshpande@navitashealth.com
