Job Description:
Nurses needed to work with students who have severe and multiple disabilities, ages 2.9 - 21. Provide for academic, functional, communication, behavioral, community and daily care needs. Daily care includes support in feeding, toileting, self-care and showering routines for the ESY summer program.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts. Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a college or university program in nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing. Work toward specialty certification by a nationally recognized professional nursing organization. Maintain certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and First aid from a recognized provider, i.e. American Heart Association. Must be computer literate. Experience working with students in a school setting with academic, behavioral and/or emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities or autism preferred. Must be able and willing to physically restrain and/or lift students.
