Guaranteed Hours:
40 Hours per Week Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Float Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care across psychiatric and behavioral health units. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders and be comfortable adapting to different inpatient care settings. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to psychiatric and behavioral health patients. Assess, monitor, and document patients' mental and physical health status. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, social workers, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams. Support crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies. Utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately to emergencies. Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation. Float between assigned psychiatric units as needed to support patient care needs. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact eligibility as applicable. Current BLS certification required. Previous inpatient psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Previous substance abuse/addiction treatment experience preferred. Experience with restraint reduction, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pay:
$3,000.00•$3,100.00 per week
