Job Summary Also known as a clinical nurse educator, a nurse educator is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating academic nursing programs. A nurse educator formally teaches in a nursing school or trains nursing students and staff in a healthcare facility. We are looking for an engaging nurse educator to be responsible for the education of current and future nursing students. A nurse educator is responsible for designing curricula, teaching and guiding students, evaluating the students' progress, writing or reviewing educational material, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
Provides educational consultation, facilitation planning, implementing and evaluating education programs that award continuing education credit Participates in the planning and delivery of the clinical aspects of new employee orientation Works with local schools of nursing in various capacities related to student practicum assignments at Lawrence General Hospital Works within the Professional Development Department and with clinical nurse educators to establish clinical competencies, competency assessment and educational skills sessions Coordinates the operation of the Simulation Lab, which includes: creating and executing simulation scenarios with debriefing; maintenance of simulation equipment (preventative and necessary repair) and necessary supplies; coordinating the use of the lab for multidisciplinary clinical staff; data collection to evaluate learning and outcomes Projects will be generalist, unless capable of specialty specific.
Requirements:
Must have active RN state license for Massachusetts. BLS certification from AHA required Professional development, education, specialty certs are bonuses but not required. Must have 5 Years RN experience with minimum of
BSN, MSN
