Are you the Registered Nurse we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others while working with a dynamic team of nurses by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working! JRI's Developing Abilities program provides opportunities for people to live in homes and apartments in their communities and to grow through job training, supported employment and day habilitation services. We provide therapeutic and social supports to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. Nurses must be willing to travel within the Middlesex area; Framingham, Waltham, Lexington, Marlboro and Westboro. Compensation The pay range for this position is $79,640 to $83,200 per year . The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. In this role, you will: Coordinate care with service team members. Complete necessary reporting and paperwork in a professional and timely manner. Participate in staff meetings, training, and supervision. Promote community integration and normalization principles. Maintain certification in mandated training. Follow all policies and procedures. Complete projects, duties or responsibilities delegated or assigned. Administer medications and treatments. Follow doctor's orders and individual medication awareness programs. Assess for possible side effects. Complete medication documentation; including narcotics count. Provide routine medical care and respond to medical emergencies during scheduled hours. Notify Manager On-call and consult with Nurse on Call regarding urgent and emergent medical concerns. Assist with daily living and personal care activities. Prepare the report form for all individuals prior to medical/dental appointments. Complete the monthly pharmacy order, including creating a list of medications and treatment items needed. Complete full body assessments as needed and document assessments through progress notes. Assist in the development of Health Care Assessments. Consult daily with Direct Care and Supervisory staff regarding specific directions for individual care. Perform as needed site visits to assess and treat emergent needs. Schedule and complete program site audits of medical records. Comply with DDS and DPH regulations for professional medical practice and care through proper documentation, assessment, and treatment. As part of a rotating schedule, consult on-call programs regarding nursing and health care issues. Why JRI? Be who you are! Requirements:
Current professional RN license in Massachusetts. Experience in the field of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Alzheimer's preferred. Experience with people with multiple medical and behavioral needs. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to develop and maintain productive, positive relationships with people from varying backgrounds. Ability to follow state and JRI policies and procedures. Ability to work independently without a supervisor or other colleagues present. MAP, First Aid, CPR certification and certification in non-violent crisis intervention prevention techniques. Requires a valid driver's license and ability to drive for work. Background and driving record checks will be performed.
