Job Description

Join Our Team Brandon is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide healthcare services to youth in our school and residential programs. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the physical, emotional, and developmental well-being of young people in a therapeutic environment. Position Overview The RN is responsible for coordinating and delivering nursing services, managing medications, conducting health assessments, collaborating with treatment teams, and supporting youth through a trauma-informed approach. The nurse plays a key role in ensuring that youth receive high-quality medical care while maintaining a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide routine nursing services, including health screenings and basic medical care. Conduct initial and ongoing health assessments and monitor youth health status. Manage medications, including ordering, administration oversight, documentation, and monitoring for side effects. Coordinate medical appointments and communicate with healthcare providers, families, and caregivers. Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to individualized treatment planning. Educate youth on personal health, wellness, self-care, and prescribed medications. Build positive, supportive relationships with youth and respond effectively to medical and behavioral needs. Utilize trauma-informed practices when working with youth affected by adverse experiences. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency, licensing, and regulatory requirements. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide occasional after-hours nursing support. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized healthcare environment.
