Opportunity:

Amergis Staffing is partnering with a school district in New Bedford, MA to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) for a summer program. This role focuses on providing general school nursing support and health office coverage for students with primarily minor medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer daily medications Manage diabetes care and emergency medications (e.g., EpiPens) Provide first aid for minor injuries Monitor students for heat-related concerns Document all health office visits Communicate with families as appropriate Support students with ongoing medical needs Assist school staff with health-related questions

Qualifications:

Active RN license Minimum of 1 year of experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health

Chmario@amergis.com The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. The School RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students within the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promoting the health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronic conditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff and healthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis' philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.

Minimum Requirements:
