Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week | Monday-Friday | Various Start Times (7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) | Occasional Holidays Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join an Oncology team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while supporting patients undergoing both curative and palliative cancer treatments. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional oncology care. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Maintain accurate, relevant, and timely patient documentation. Perform ongoing physical, psychological, and social assessments. Develop discharge plans and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members. Administer and monitor medications and treatment responses. Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned and demonstrate leadership capabilities. Utilize electronic medical records and nursing informatics effectively. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, disease management, and supportive care. Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff and new employees. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient care assessment activities. Adhere to safety policies, infection prevention standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in unit meetings, mandatory education programs, and professional development activities. Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current Massachusetts RN License. Current BLS Certification. Ability to successfully complete Pharmacology Examination. Strong communication and patient education skills. Experience supporting patients receiving curative and palliative treatments. Ability to work compassionately with oncology patients and their families. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Previous Oncology Nursing experience.
