RN First Assistant (RNFA) - Urgent Need

Job Title:

RN First Assistant Assignment Length:

13 weeks with possible extension

Location:

Northampton, MA Shift:

4x10s. Call is on call for two days a week 5p (or from the end of their shift) to 7p, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every 3 weekends.

Pay Rate:

$85/hour

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room and within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures, responsible for assisting surgeon in lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure.

Experience/Skills:

Five (5) years diversified first assist / peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required. Active Massachusetts RN License Current BLS and ACLS certifications Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN required.
