Compensation Traveler Pay:
$3,000
  • $3,400 Weekly (Based on Experience)
Local Pay:
$2,500
  • $2,850 Weekly (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic perioperative services team.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. This role requires strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and a commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities Perioperative Patient Care Deliver comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after operative procedures. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established clinical standards and policies. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status throughout the perioperative process. Ensure accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical record systems. Operating Room Responsibilities Prepare and maintain a safe surgical environment. Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and procedural support. Adhere to infection prevention, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols. Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and lead aprons when required. Leadership & Collaboration Demonstrate proficiency in the role of Charge Nurse when assigned. Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, new team members, and orientation activities. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. Professional Development Assess personal learning needs and participate in ongoing education and professional development. Contribute to staff education, mentoring, and knowledge sharing. Support departmental goals and continuous improvement efforts. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Licensure & Certifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Experience Minimum one (1) year of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
