Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding nursing opportunity supporting a student with complex medical needs in a school-based setting near Quincy, MA. This contract position is perfect for an experienced nurse ready to make a meaningful difference as a 1:1 PRN provider for a student who is wheelchair and ventilator dependent. You'll work closely with school staff and families to ensure expert care and seamless support throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Previous experience in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred Demonstrated skill providing care for students with ventilator and wheelchair dependencies Confidence in responding to medical emergencies and adapting to evolving care plans Compassionate approach paired with clear, effective communication abilities Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care and monitoring for a complex, medically fragile student Support all activities throughout the school day, including transportation if needed Collaborate with education teams, therapists, and families to promote safety and inclusion Administer medications, track health status, and maintain accurate records Educate and assist school staff on best practices relevant to the student's care needs Respond quickly and effectively to any health-related incidents or emergencies This contract role offers guaranteed hours and guaranteed pay each week, ensuring stability in your schedule and compensation.
