Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Sub-Acute Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Shrewsbury Rehabilitation and Nursing at Southgate. As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treating wounds, and monitoring vital signs Supervise and direct the day-to-day functions of CNAs/GNAs and other nursing personnel Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations Monitor the performance of CNAs/GNAs and provide education and counseling as needed Disciplinary action as necessary, and complete performance evaluations Participate in the maintenance and implementation of the Center's quality assurance program for the nursing service department Collaborate with other resident services to ensure that the resident's total regimen of care is maintained
Requirements:
Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduate from an approved LPN/RN program Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served Must be able to evaluate the performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and prepare and complete performance evaluations for personnel
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of experience in a long-term care setting Basic computer knowledge How to
