Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a difference this summer as an ESY Registered Nurse supporting students' health and well-being in a vibrant educational environment. This contract opportunity is perfect for experienced school nurses who have a passion for pediatric care and want to contribute their expertise to an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Swampscott, MA.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current RN license in Massachusetts Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric setting Knowledge of managing chronic health conditions, medication administration, and emergency response Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and parents Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care for students attending the ESY program, including first aid, medication administration, and managing health plans Respond promptly to medical emergencies or health concerns within the school environment Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to support students' healthcare needs and compliance with care plans Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and communication with necessary parties Promote a healthy school environment through education, support, and preventative care
