11:00 PM•7:00 AM | $77/hr Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care to adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This role works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery, promote health and wellness, and ensure a safe therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient health, safety, and well-being. Assess, document, and evaluate patient conditions using the nursing process. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions. Complete admission assessments, screenings, and nursing care plans. Participate in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement person-centered treatment plans. Supervise and support Mental Health Workers and Licensed Practical Nurses. Monitor, document, and report patient behaviors and responses to treatment. Provide patient education on medications, health, wellness, and illness management through individual and group instruction. Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies, including first aid, CPR, de-escalation, and approved restraint procedures when necessary. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Strong assessment, clinical, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in crisis situations. Experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or mental health settings preferred.
