School Nurse Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School - 3.8 Wakefield, MA Job Details Full-time $62,261.00 - $103,385.72 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Infectious diseases (public health) Student record keeping Mid-level Preventive health (patient care) Safe environment creation Organizational skills Nutrition education Managing patient records Healthcare compliance Health education and counseling Nursing Full Job Description Your primary responsibility will be to provide health services to students when they are at school. Also help with preventive care by educating students on how to avoid communicable diseases and having proper hygiene.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate with children, their parents or guardians, and teachers. If you meet these requirements, and you also have a genuine interest in improving children's lives, we'd like to hear from you.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with national and local health laws related to
COVID-19
guidelinesProvide basic healthcare to students in case of injury or acute illnessDevelop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilitiesEducate students and staff on healthy habits, such as proper nutrition and hygieneDetect health problems in early stages through regular screeningsKeep track of students' vaccination recordsUpdate students' medical historyEnsure school environment is safe for children and school staff (e.g. prevention of communicable diseases)
Evaluation:
Evaluated in accordance with the DESE Standards and Indicators of Effective Teaching Practice and the current Northeast Teachers' Association contract.
Terms of Employment:
1. 184 day work year2. Salary and benefits in accordance with NTA contract
Pay Range:
$62,261-$103,385.72
