Responsibilities:
Provide supervision for multiple MDS Coordinators and leadership for Nursing Managers, ensuring standards of practice are uniformly implemented across the corporation regarding MDS, quality indicators, and reimbursement Stay abreast of current Medicare and Medicaid regulations, as well as present with knowledge about PDPM, Quality Indicators, and CMS 5 star ratings Implement corporate directives, and act as an internal resource and support for facility MDS Coordinators and other support staff Conduct educational training Assure accuracy of MDS, including timeliness and accuracy Assure staff has the necessary tools to efficiently capture and report clinical reimbursement for services rendered. Evaluate, sustain, and improve existing MDS procedures and practices where needed
Qualifications:
RN or LPN Prior Skilled Nursing Facility experience required
Preferred:
1 or more years of MDS Coordinator or above experience Expertise with nursing home quality indicators and performance improvement projects Very familiar with MDS coding, Quality Measures, 5-star rating, and QRP Very good knowledge of CMI and PDPM
