Who you are : A leader who possesses excellent clinical skills and leads staff in maintaining high standards of care. You are comfortable presenting and provide educational programs to promote growth and development of all staff. You have a strong knowledge of infection control practices and ensure infection control standards are implemented at all levels within the organization. You have solid leadership abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and great interpersonal skills. A Registered Nurse licensed in Massachusetts with a minimum of five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You possess the CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Certification. Experience in staff education and infection control preferred. Prior experience working with older adults in a senior living environment preferred.

What You'll Do:

The Infection Control/Staff Education Nurse is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for residents. This includes providing leadership of the nursing department with the assistance of the Director of Nursing. You will provide ongoing staff education to ensure staff are always professionally trained. You will be responsible for ensuring and providing ongoing infection control education to assure a safe and clean environment. Annually evaluates and makes recommendations to the Director of Nursing for modifications of policies, procedures, job descriptions, and best practices related to the nursing and CNA function. You will keep current with industry trends and regulation changes. This position is also responsible for organizations' compliance with Federal and State skilled nursing and rest home regulations.
