Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic IV Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team! In this vital role, you will provide expert intravenous therapy, ensuring safe and effective delivery of medications, fluids, and treatments to diverse patient populations. Duties Administer IV infusions, medications, and fluids with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols Assess patient conditions through vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological knowledge to determine appropriate IV therapy plans Monitor patients continuously for adverse reactions or complications during infusion procedures and respond promptly Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, including medication administration and patient assessments Educate patients and their families on IV therapy procedures, post-infusion care, and safety precautions Experience Proven experience as an IV Nurse or in a similar acute care setting such as ICU, nursing home, emergency room, or hospital medicine Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar preferred Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including PICC line management, dialysis access care, ostomy care, and tube feeding techniques Ability to perform laboratory specimen collection/processing and understand ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate documentation Our benefits include: Access to advanced EMR/EHR systems training to enhance your technical skills Paid positions that recognize your expertise in areas like medical-surgical nursing, trauma medicine, or home & community care

$43.11 - $51.91 per hour
