Job Description

Luminis Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Thoracic Surgery team. This role includes inpatient and outpatient care, assisting in the operating room, and collaborating closely with physicians, residents, and nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily rounds on postoperative patients and develop care plans Provide inpatient consults in a timely manner Assist in the operating room and support surgical workflow Manage postoperative outpatient clinic visits independently Order and interpret diagnostic tests for inpatients and outpatients Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery Coordinate multidisciplinary care with nursing, therapy, and case management teams Refer patients to specialists as needed Maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required (NP) • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine Licensed in the State of Maryland or eligible for licensure Minimum 2 years of acute care experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
