Job Requirements Registered Nurse
PACU PRN

UMMC Midtown Campus, one of two campuses of the University of Maryland Medical Center, has had a long history of working to keep our community healthy and has grown to become a trusted teaching hospital for medical and surgical care in Baltimore City. Located in Baltimore's cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, UMMC Midtown Campus is a 180-bed, community teaching hospital with a focus on helping people manage chronic diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, pulmonary conditions, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients in the operating room setting Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures Ensure proper functioning and availability of surgical equipment and supplies Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during surgery Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols Participate in patient education and discharge planning Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts Stay current with advances in surgical techniques and perioperative nursing practices At UMMC Midtown Campus, you'll experience a supportive and collaborative work environment, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for continuing education and career advancement. Work Experience 1. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience. 2. Currently licensed in the State of Maryland. 3. ACLS provider completion within 1 year of employment in the following departments: ICU/IMC, PACU, Interventional Radiology, GI Lab, and
ED. 4. PALS
completion within 1 year of employment in the following departments: PACU and Emergency Department. 5. BLS provider completion.
