  • Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care / Stepdown setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 22-bed unit
  • Manage adult and geriatric patients presenting with cardiac, respiratory, and endocrine conditions including DKA
  • Administer and monitor specialty infusions including Precedex and insulin drips
  • Manage patients requiring hi-flow oxygen, BiPAP, and chest tubes
  • Care for post-procedural patients including post-cardiac catheterization and TCAR cases
  • Float within the specialty and to lower-acuity areas as needed; travelers are first to float Required Qualifications
  • Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of
IMC / PCU
/ Stepdown RN experience (3 years preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Heart Association only
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • American Heart Association only
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
  • The Calm Every Storm online version is the only accepted online vendor Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 3 or more years of
IMC / PCU
/ Stepdown experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers will be considered
  • Familiarity with post-cardiac cath and TCAR patient populations Why Join Us
