Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stageDescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) position requiring ACLS and NIH certifications, with day shifts and every other weekend availability.

Details
  • Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) in a hospital setting
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with a focus on cardiac, respiratory, and DKA diagnoses
  • Patient ratio of 1:4 on a 22-bed unit
  • Specialized procedures include Precedex and insulin drips, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, chest tubes, and post-cardiac cath lab/TCAR care
  • Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00-19:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required as scheduled
  • Floating required within the specialty and to lower acuity units as needed
  • On-call is not pre-scheduled; may occasionally be placed on-call status during low census situations Requirements
  • Active RN license in Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current certifications required:
BLS, ACLS, NIH
Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3 years preferred
  • Experience in an intermediate care, step-down, or similar acute care setting Additional Information
