Job Description
Cornerstone - Registered Nurse of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Cornerstone empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community. We envision that each person we serve will have a meaningful life of their choosing. As the largest outpatient behavioral health agency in Montgomery County, we offer years of evidence based treatment experience to our consumers and practical training to our staff. Our robust training program allows staff members to develop and grow in the position and provides the basis for upward mobility within the agency. Responsibilities of the RN Administers medications per order of prescribing clinician, including IM's injections. Maintains the supply and security of medications on site, coordinates the distribution of medications for clients who receive medication deliveries from MTS/ACT team members; disposes of discontinued and expired meds. Provide supportive counseling, and assertive case management, to include appropriate assessment, planning, coordination, linkage, delivery and advocacy of services for all assigned clients Collaborate with the psychiatrist and primary care physicians to ensure that the health needs of the clients are attended to. Qualifications of the RN One to two years of experience providing mental health services and/or addictions treatment. Active Maryland RN licensure required Possession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record (as determined by HR) required. Must have access to a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes. Transporting clients in personal vehicle is required.
