• $2,125/ week (Blended taxable base + tax-free travel stipends) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join a high-acuity, fast-paced obstetrics team in Clinton, MD.

This 13-week assignment is ideal for a skilled travel nurse who excels in high-risk labor management, obstetrical triage, and C-section circulation. Responsibilities & Unit Workflow Provide direct, high-quality maternal-child health nursing care to laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients. Utilize and interpret Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) to track fetal heart rate patterns and execute clinical interventions. Manage complex, high-risk labor and delivery conditions alongside obstetrical emergency care protocols. Act as a Circulating RN for Cesarean sections (C-sections) within the dedicated L&D surgical suites. Assess, triage, and admit acute obstetric patients presenting to the triage unit. Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team of OB/GYNs, Midwives, Anesthesiologists, and Neonatal specialists. Provide postpartum and mother/baby care , with a willingness to float to related maternal-child units based on unit census. Participate in occasional charge nurse or preceptor duties if assigned by unit leadership.

Job Requirements Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of recent acute-care hospital Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.

Clinical Skills:

Must have proven experience circulating C-sections and managing high-risk antepartum patients.

Travel Experience:

Prior travel nursing or local contract experience is highly preferred.

Schedule Flexibility:

3x12 night shifts, including an alternating every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.

On-Call Rule:

Willingness to take on-call shifts with the ability to physically report to the hospital within 45 minutes of being paged. Required Licenses & Certifications Active, unencumbered Maryland State RN License or an eNLC Multi-State Compact License . BLS (Basic Life Support) & ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) & S.T.A.B.L.E. certification. C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) through the NCC is strictly required for this high-acuity unit.
