Unit/Role Info:
NICU The Lead Clinical Nurse coordinates the total care for a group of patients throughout their stay to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes. The Lead Clinical Nurse is instrumental in mentoring and managing the clinical staff to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Serves as a clinical expert and manages an evolving clinical picture, including identifying impending changes in clinical condition and responds timely and appropriately. The Lead Clinical Nurse assumes responsibility and is accountable for overall unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Able to apply the principles of evidence-based care and service excellence into practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in nursing (Required)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required)
- CPR - Basic CPR Upon Hire (Required)
- Minimum 6 months of nursing experience required.
2 years of nursing experience preferred. Proficient in
RN 1, RN
2, and RN 3 competencies. Navigate rapidly changing situations, from evolving patient needs to technological advancements, by remaining flexible, continuously learning, embracing new challenges, and quickly recovering from setbacks. Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality patient care. High level of independence in clinical and operational decisions, mentoring others in decision-making processes. Strong attention to detail and self-directed to consistently ensure data integrity and accuracy. Uphold ethical principles by maintaining confidentiality, ensuring informed consent, and making decisions that prioritize the well-being of both patients and staff. Salary Range:
Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
