Contract-to-Hire NurseAmerica is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a leading outpatient oncology practice in Columbia, MD. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team providing exceptional care to patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, laboratory results, treatment response, and psychosocial needs Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Administer prescribed medications and supportive therapies Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects and coordinate care interventions as needed Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and follow-up care Provide emotional support and advocacy throughout the patient care journey Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Coordinate treatment authorizations, referrals, scheduling, and patient follow-up Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, radiation therapists, and other clinical team members Qualifications Active Maryland RN License or Compact RN License Current BLS Certification Minimum 1-3 years of Registered Nurse experience Oncology experience strongly preferred Experience in Radiation Oncology, Oncology, Hematology, or outpatient cancer care settings preferred Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills Work Environment Outpatient Oncology Practice Day Shift Schedule Exposure to radiation treatment environments Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds Why Join This Opportunity?
