Registered Nurse need Per Diem in Cecil & Harford Counties to compete assessments

As a nurse assessor, you will visit clients in their home environment and use your nursing skills to complete face-to-face assessments used in determining eligibility or benefits for evaluated clients. These assessments vary in length from 45 minutes - 1 hour (initial patient assessment is 2 hours) and can consist of a health interview, brief cognitive screen, discussing IADLs, and viewing ADL demonstrations. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine care needs and develop individualized care plans. Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health management and care options. Inspect wounds, bedsores for signs of infection Inspect wound dressings and personal grooming and hygiene Test for muscle weakness, Use various investigative tools, interview techniques and assessment forms to assess the client's physical and mental health. Identify client care needs and requirements Job Requirements Success completion of background check. Valid state of Maryland nursing license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Proficiency in patient assessment and care, including catheterization and IV insertion Familiarity with home and community care settings Critical care experience and knowledge of airway management preferred Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations Reliable transportation Possess the ability to work independently Possess communication, time management skills and organizational skills.
