Job Description
Job Requirements General Summary Collaborates to promote a patient safety culture and to adhere to national clinical standards through utilizing evidence-based principles and practices of safety. Provides structure for nursing quality improvement working in close partnership with medical and clinical leaders. Responsible for providing performance and outcomes metrics in support of Quality and Regulatory work and relevant reports. Plans and carries out complex cross-functional projects using advanced performance improvement (PI) skills and methods. Works closely with committees and teams as an expert coordinating the collection, analysis, review, and reporting of clinical outcomes. Plans and ensures work leads to improved outcomes that are sustainable. Assists in the advancement of the professional practice environment by communicating the nursing strategic direction and focusing on activities that support the nursing strategic direction. Assists with overall clinical governance and other duties as assigned. Reporting Relationship Reports to the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit. Work Experience Qualifications Current RN licensure in Maryland required. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. Three (3) years of previous RN clinical experience required. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Certification in clinical specialty preferred.
