Job Description
Job Requirements Under the direct supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse, participates in the nursing process by providing supportive patient care to patients and their families. Assists with delegated direct care activities as required for daily operations on the assigned unit and performs functions consistent with the individual's level of education, clinical competencies, and organizational policies. Performance of job duties requires authorized access to medication storage areas and the ability to transport medications to and from designated medication storage and delivery locations in accordance with institutional policy.
- Assists the registered nurse with patient assessment by monitoring parameters as delegated and reporting findings in accordance with Nursing Standards of Practice and institutional policy.
- Assists the registered nurse in planning nursing care by contributing observations related to patient status and response to prior treatments or nursing interventions. Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in good academic standing in an accredited pre-licensure MSN, BSN or ADN program.
- Passing grade ("C" or better) in Fundamentals/Foundations of Nursing (transcript required).
