CLINICAL VALUE ANALYSIS & STRATEGIC SOURCING - MATERIALS MGMT (NURSING/OR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)

Job Summary :

Supports and/or leads (as appropriate) the organization's process of selecting clinically acceptable supplies in a cost-effective manner. This individual will lead value analysis committee(s) and work on sourcing supplies while considering the total cost of acquisition.

Education :

Position requires a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in supply chain management, business, finance, or medical concentration, preferred.

Registration/Certification/Licensure :

Unexpired, unsuspended driver's license if incumbent will be required to drive as part of their routine job duties.

Experience :

Position requires 2+ years of clinical and/or supply chain experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Familiarity with all aspects of inventory management including receiving, par leveling, transportation, and distribution of supplies. Familiarity with purchasing processes. Prior data analysis experience. Experience using Meditech and familiarity with medical supplies and devices, preferred.

Other Requirements :

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. Demonstrated organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills required to effectively perform job duties. Effectively communicates with all staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice. Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirement—strong MS Excel and Meditech experience, preferred; MS Word, and web-based applications. Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere. Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work. Effectively performs other departmental duties and assignments within the relative scope of the position when the need arises within the department.
