Seeking an experienced stroke/telemetry RN for a 9-week on-site position. Active Maryland or compact RN license, BLS, and EKG proficiency required.

                • Minimum 2 years of recent stroke experience preferred (stroke nurse experience)
                • Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license
                • Current BLS certification (AHA)
                • EKG/telemetry proficiency and comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms
                • Experience using mRS (Modified Rankin Scale) and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
                • At least 1 year of clinical experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting or similar hospital unitResponsibilities
                • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients
                • Monitor and interpret EKGs and continuous telemetry; respond to cardiac and neurological changes
                • Perform stroke assessments using NIHSS and mRS and incorporate findings into care plans
                • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
                • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
                • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, and post-discharge instructions focused on stroke recovery
