1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring an MD or Compact RN license, PALS certification, and Epic EHR experience for a 13-week night shift contract. Details Inpatient pediatric unit with 5 beds, primarily treating respiratory illness, NICU step-down cases, and GI illness and infections Unit also manages a Pediatric ED (12p-12a) with an additional 5 beds Unit occasionally admits medical/surgical adult patients up to age 65 to support hospital bed flow Patient ratio is 1:3 Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30) Every third weekend required, consisting of Friday and Saturday shifts with some Friday-only expectations Floating required within specialty and to Mother-Child Health (MCH) as needed No on-call responsibilities required Epic EHR experience required Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated outside of what is submitted at the time of application Requirements Active RN license for the state of Maryland (MD) or a Compact RN license currently in hand Current certifications: BLS and PALS required; NRP preferred Prior pediatric nursing experience required Epic EHR experience required Additional Information In-house pediatric hospitalist available 24/7 Level
III NICU
on-site with a Neonatal NP available 24/7 Holiday coverage required as shifts fall per the schedule Any time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application
