Job Description

Registered Nurse - SAFE- PRN Summary Carroll Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our SAFE/Forensic Nursing team.
Job Summary:
rovide comprehensive nursing care by assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, implementing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. Collect, document, and maintain accurate patient health and forensic information while ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality. Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, families, and external agencies to coordinate and deliver quality patient care. Administer medications safely by following medication administration policies, completing medication reconciliation, and adhering to the Five Rights of Medication Administration. Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, utilize critical thinking, and coordinate appropriate interventions or emergency resources as needed. Promote patient safety by implementing infection prevention measures, fall prevention strategies, restraint policies, and universal precautions. Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges while ensuring all required documentation and communication are completed accurately and on time. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and evidence-based nursing practices to support quality patient outcomes. Demonstrate leadership by mentoring and supporting colleagues, fostering teamwork, resolving concerns through the chain of command, and contributing to a positive work environment. Manage workload effectively by maintaining flexibility, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous process improvement and high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
Registered Nurse RN license BLS through American Heart Association SAFE/ Forensic nursing experience strongly preferred
