Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Take advantage of a rewarding opportunity this summer supporting students in an engaging educational setting! School nurses are needed to provide compassionate care during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. If you're an RN with a passion for working with children, this is your chance to make a positive impact.
There are three openings:
one dedicated to a 1:1 situation and two serving general nursing needs. This contract role runs from July 6th through July 30th, offering a consistent, in-person schedule that fits beautifully into summer plans. You'll work Monday to Thursday—4 hours per day for 1:1 and middle/high school nurses (8:00am-12:00pm), and 5 hours per day for the elementary role (9:00am-1:00pm).
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to respond quickly and effectively in urgent situations Professionalism and empathy when interacting with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one care as needed, including medication administration and monitoring for specific student medical needs Deliver general health care services and first aid to students and staff Maintain accurate and confidential health records Collaborate with teachers, aides, and administrators to support educational goals Respond promptly to any health emergencies or incidents during program hours This summer role offers the incredible reward of helping children stay healthy and thrive in a learning environment, all while enjoying a set daytime schedule and a supportive team of educators.
